1930 Baldwin 2-10-0 in Gainesville, GA

The Gainesville Midland #209

Our last stop of the roundabout trip to and from Tallulah Gorge State Park was in Gainesville, GA to see our second decapod of the day. We had previously seen another decapod in Winder, along with a 1907 Baldwin 2-8-0 in Jefferson, and a 1904 ALCO 0-4-0ST in Cleveland. This finished what became a rainy, wet day.

Even though there were no boiler plates on this train, my documentation says it was #61233. The one in Winder was #61230 so these trains were made very close together on the production line.

The train was also a Gainesville Midland (#209) and was situated in a park where it looked like it was well cared for. As a matter of fact, most of the items here looked like they were freshly painted.

The numbering wasn't even completed yet

Definitely freshly painted
