So Many Trains at the Travel Town Museum, Los Angeles, CA

Our final stop before we hopped on the Amtrak to head back to Orlando was to the Travel Town Museum. This was like an open park with trains all over. There were so many I even had to split it into two videos. The first part here shows these trains:

1909 ALCO 2-8-0 (#46456)

1902 ALCO 2-6-2 (#26264)

1918 Baldwin 0-6-0 (#48273)

1864 Norris Lancaster 4-4-0 (#12)

1941 GM EMD Model 40

1955 Baldwin RS-12 (#76105)

1899 Baldwin 2-8-0 (17187)

The Steam Trains at Disneyland

The main reason we took our cross country trip was to go to Disneyland. Working on the Disneyworld Railroad in Florida made us real curious about seeing the California trains. Here's the trains that were running that day:

1894 Baldwin 2-4-4T (#14065)

1925 Baldwin 2-4-0 (#58367)

1955 WED Enterprises* 4-4-0 (#1)

*WED means Walter Elias Disney. This train was build for the park. Later, they discovered it was easier and cheaper to buy and refurbish a locomotive. They carried this idea when they built in Florida.

1937 Montreal 4-6-4 at the Nethercutt Museum in Sylmar, CA

Our next stop was a secret one. I didn't reveal to Steam Train Sarah that this train was located at the Nethercutt Museum. This place had a massive collection of vintage and antique cars and vehicles (check it out here). But located out back, they had this 1937 Montreal 4-6-4 on display.

1900 ALCO 2-6-0 in Newhall (Santa Clarita), CA

Next up, we found this 1900 ALCO 2-6-0 in a park in Newhall (or Santa Clarita), CA. This mogul was donated by Gene Autry. It is also the oldest ALCO we have come across so far.

We took a cross country trip to Disneyland. I was allowed just one day to explore for trains. We found this 1906 Baldwin 2-6-0 in Santa Fe Springs, CA.
