We took a day trip up to Oviedo, FL (mainly because it was only 45 minutes away) to see if we could find a 1927 ALCO that was stored supposedly somewhere behind a tractor supply place. Using the locomotive database and Google maps, I was able to pin it down to a certain location. We pulled around to the back parking lot and there it was.
According to what I read, the train was sold to someone and there way some delay. Before it was taken out, all the tracks on that line had been removed so now there was no way to get the train out. It's been sitting here since.
