1917 Baldwin 2-8-0 (#44835) & More Than We Expected in Meridian, MS (2017)

This 1917 Baldwin 2-8-0 (#44835) was on display outside of the Jimmie Rogers Museum in Meridian, MS.

It was obviously an old train depot, and had a plaque dedicating everything to the deceased railroad men of Meridian:



The train itself was surrounded by fencing, and was
 partially blocked by a nearby tree.

Also, downtown, and quite by accident we found the Union Station area of the city that had been set up as a Chamber of Commerce and museum. There were no steam locos here, which is why we didn't know it was there, but they did have a few cars on display:

Also, in our driving around town, we had spotted several painted carousel horses in different spots around the city. The one here was a definite winner though:
