On our way to St Louis and traveling Route 66, we found this 1923 Baldwin in Rolla, MO. At first there was loud lawn maintenance going on and then it started raining on us (of course).
There was a gentleman parked and looking at the train also. He started chatting with us and asked if we had seen the Davenport in Springfield. We had just that morning. He told us his dad had worked on that train and gave us a good history on it. Very cool.
