The Eureka Springs and North Arkansas Railway

We visited and did a train excursion in Eureka Springs, AR. They had a lot of stuff lying around and most of it in not too good a shape. On display out front (and up high) was a 1934 Orenstein & Koppel 0-4-0, just like the ones at Silver Dollar City.

The 1927 Baldwin 2-8-2 was in real bad shape, missing its cab and being in a state of dis-repair. The 1906 ALCO 2-6-0 was actually being dismantled as we arrived. It was being moved to another area to be restored. It once helped build the Panama Canal.

The diesel we did the excursion on was a 1942 EMD SW1.
